We've taken that grief bacon and turned it into a drink that both satisfies and comforts.
Martell VS Single Distillery Cognac, with its intense fruitiness is the base.
Bacon...I mean we had to have bacon. But not the actual stuff, instead we've used William Fox Bacon Syrup, a company out of Liverpool making fantastic stuff. And guess what- IT'S VEGAN!
This is just the slightest whisper of bacon. Nothing to make it feel like you are having a Full English.
Peach. You ever had bacon wrapped peaches? No? Parma and melon? Same idea. Sweet and fruit with salty and savory is heaven.
A dash of Regan's Orange bitters brings it all together. Like the salt on chips, it's needed.
This one might sound a bit odd, but that's how we like it over here. And honestly we aren't really that bonkers. The famous bartender Don Lee actually created the Benton's Old Fashioned back in 2007. Hats off to him.

Pop the bag in the freezer ½ hour, pour over a large chunk of ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with an orange zest.
Shake-shake-shake the bag. Pour the room temperature cocktail over some tiny cloudy ice you have in that ice tray that came with your freezer. But seriously, for optimum enjoyment use more ice than you think is necessary.
